After the Tremor | 1970s Tropical Living Room Environment
After the Tremor | 1970s Tropical Living Room Environment

This project was created for my Lighting and Rendering final Riches to Rags during the second semester of sophomore year in April 2024, and was later selected for SIGGRAPH FSSW 2024.

I designed the scene as a retro-tropical living room in the 1970s, frozen in the quiet aftermath of an earthquake. The goal was to capture a fragile emotional contrast: a space that still carries warmth, leisure, and summer nostalgia, yet has been interrupted by sudden damage and abandonment.

Visually, I focused on lighting, surface aging, and texture variation across objects to build a sense of suspended time.

Role: Concept Design, Modeling, Texturing, Lighting
